HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A man and a woman have been killed on the charge of having illicit relationship in the Kohsan district of western Herat province.
Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News, the couple was gunned down with an AK-47 rifle in the Bonyad village of the district, last night.
He added police had reached the crime scene and had investigations. Efforts were ongoing to bring the perpetrators to justice, the gubernatorial spokesman continued.
According to Farhad, it is not clear yet whether the man and woman really had an illicit relationship.
Meanwhile, Kohsan district governor Aminullah Sarwari confirmed the arrival of police for investigations and arresting the killers. Details about the incident will be known after police investigations.
