QALAT/PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Six children have been killed and another three injured in two separate incidents of violence within 24 hours in northern Baghlan and southern Zabul provinces.
Baghlan police spokesman Zabihullah Shuja said four children were killed on Wednesday evening when a mortar shell they were playing with went off in Barkah district.
Separately, two children were killed and as many others wounded on Thursday when a mortar shell hit their home in Shah Joy district, Zabul governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.
