2 policemen killed in Zabul attack

QALAT (Pajhwok): Two policemen were killed and a third wounded in a Taliban attack in southern Zabul province on Saturday, an official said.

A security source, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened this morning in Kabul-Kandahar highway on the outskirts of Qalat city, the provincial capital.

He said two police personnel including a commander were killed and another injured in a Taliban attack. The militants also took away two vehicles and some ammunition from the policemen.

The militants have not yet commented about the incident.
