GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Police in southern Ghazni province have arrested a man for sexually attacking an eight years old girl, an official said on Sunday.
Acting police chief Col. Mustafa Mayar told Pajhwok Afghan News the man, a shopkeeper, was accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl.
He said the girl had come to the shop to buy a pen and notebook. “The assailant is 64-year-old and after medical examination, it was proved that he had forced sex with the girl,” added Mayar.
However, the accused denied the charge, calling it a conspiracy against him. “I have a young wife, with whom I haven’t had sex over the past four years because my erectile dysfunction.” He offered to undergo a medical check-up prove his claim.
On the other hand, the girl said she had gone to the shop to buy scholastic materials. After falling unconscious, she did not know what had happened to her. Police said the accused was being investigated.
