LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Taliban insurgents have launched a coordinated attack on the Greshk district of southern Helmand province, a security official said on Thursday.
The official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants initiated the assault on Wednesday night. The attack began with the detonation of three vehicle-borne bombs.
According to the source, the attacks were still underway in Aab Bashak, Adam Khan and Dasht areas around the district centre. He feared casualties but did not have exact numbers.
