Pakistan grants scholarships to 700 Afghan students

KABUL on Sunday announced granting fully funded Prime Minister’s scholarships to 700 Afghan students this year as a part of its ongoing programme to develop and strengthen human resources of the brotherly country.

Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul and its consulates in Jalalabad, Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Herat will be holding written test at their premises on July 28-31 for under-graduates, MPhil and PhD scholarships, the Pakistan embassy in Kabul said in a statement.

The roll numbers of the registered students have already been sent to their email addresses and are also displayed on the Embassy’s website (www.pakembkabul.com), it read. 

The statement said “it is a matter of great satisfaction that 3,000 Afghan students have already availed fully funded scholarship in the past few years and are now making valuable contribution to political, economic and social development of Afghanistan.”
