KABUL (Pajhwok): The Sheb Koh district chief of western Farah province, his son and four security guards have been killed in a roadside blast, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor spokesman Naser Mehri told Pajhwok Afghan News District Chief Abdul Rahim Haidari and five others, including his son, were killed in a blast on Tuesday evening in Doruj village.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast that killed the Sheb Koh district chief, his son and four security guards.
The resident of locality, who wished to go unnamed, said Haidari remained as district chief since three years and his work was exceptional. The people of Sheb Koh may not find administrator like him, the resident said while hailing his work and achievement for the district.
