4 children wounded in Tirinkot bomb explosion

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Four children were injured as a result of a landmine explosion in Tirinkot , the capital of central Uruzgan province, on Saturday morning, officials said.

Deputy police chief, Col. Abdul Qayyum, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place at around 10am in the Safeed Khar area on the outskirts of the provincial capital.

He alleged the landmine, planted by the Taliban, hit children. The injured children were evacuated to hospital.

Uruzgan Civil Hospital official Zia-ul-Rahman confirmed receiving the injured children. Two of them were in critical condition, he added.
