GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Local officials on Thursday said the security forces had retaken control of the Zana Khan district of southern Ghazni province, a claim rejected by the Taliban.
Governor Abul Karim Matin told a press conference in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, that the insurgents stormed Zana Khan district center on Wednesday night.
He said seven militants and three policemen were killed and five rebels and seven policemen injured in the ensuing gunbattle.
