JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Six civilians were injured as a result of rockets fired by the Taliban-Jalalabad highway on Thursday, an official said.
Sarhadi Zwak, the Laghman governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Sarkond Baba area of Karghayee district early in the morning.
He said the militants fired rockets from Tor Ghrah, he said, adding one of them landed in front of the Tukmen Hotel.
Zwak added six civilians were wounded, two of them critically. The injured were evacuated to Laghman Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
The Taliban have said nothing about the incident so far.
