Afghanistan U-19 beat Bangladesh to level ODI series

KABUL Under-19 defeated Bangladesh in their third One-day International (ODI) match on Monday, a board official said.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman, Farid Hottak, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Afghanistan U-19 won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat first.

The Bangladeshis posted a meagre total of 75 runs in the 50 overs match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

For Afghanistan, Nawin Alhaq claimed four wickets, Tariq Stanikzai two and Yousuf Zazai, Mujib Zadran and Esmatullah grabbed one scalp each.

Hottak said Afghanistan raced to the target in the 18th over for the loss five wickets. Nawin Alhaq was announced as man of the match.

The first one-day was won by Bangladesh while the second was washed out.
