PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Pakistan government resumed on Tuesday the registration of undocumented Afghan citizens in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The documentation process was temporarily suspended ahead of Muharram by National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) because of security concerns.
In September, at least 100,000 undocumented Afghans were registered across the country -- 80,000 of them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone.
A source in NADRA confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News resumption of the registration campaign, saying the process would be completed by the end of the current year.
