KABUL Peace Studies Organization (APSO) says a meeting on the reconciliation process, expected to take place in Dubai, has been delayed.
In a statement, the organisation said the informal meeting, scheduled to be held in early November, was to be attended by Afghan politicians, civil society’s political office.
But the talks have been delayed due to certain problems and a new date and venue will be announced later on, according to the statement.
The organisation rejected reports that there was an official plan for direct talks between the High Peace Council (HPC) and Taliban representatives.
It added the participants would express only their personal views. Such meetings have already been organised in Qatar, Dubai, Islamabad, Germany and France by Pugwash.
