KABUL and Uzbekistan on Wednesday signed an air services agreement to start direct flights between Kabul and Tashkent, according to a statement by the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA).
Capt. Ghulam JelaniWafa, the Director Operations ACAA, said that the agreement would help towards creatingan environment of cooperation between the civic aviation authorities of the two countries.
In addition, it will also promote economic and cultural relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, he added.
In accordance with the agreement, the airline companies of the two countries will now fly direct flights between Kabul and Tashkent. The frequency has been set on two flights per week.
