ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police in southwestern Nimroz province have seized a drug-laded vehicle and detained one individual, an official said on Saturday.
Lt. Col. Ahmad Parvez Sistani, counternarcotics director, said police recovered 319 kilograms of drugs from a house in the Masoomabad area of Zaranj, the provincial capital.
He said the drugs included 42kg of heroin, 229kg of opium, 40 kg of hashish and eight kg of chemical. A suspect arrested in connection with the incident was under investigation. The drugs were being smuggled to Iran.
