Senators want Kabul shooters hanged in public

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> or upper house members on Tuesday appreciated the detention of suspects in the gruesome murder of 10 members of a family in capital Kabul, asking the government to publically execute those found guilty.</p>

<p>On December 8, four men gunned down four <a href="https://www.pajhwok.com/en/women">women</a>, three children and one man. At least two others were injured. Two guests were among the dead.</p>

<p>A day earlier, Kabul police said they had detained three people in connection with the incident from Kabul-Baghlan highway.</p>

<p>A number of upper house members appreciated police forces for successful action and detaining those involved in the incident.</p>

<p>Mualvi Muhiuddin Munsif, a senator from central Kapisa province, told today session that Afghan security forces should be appreciated for their efforts at capturing the murderers of the 10 people.</p>

<p>“We ask the government and the president in particular, to execute the perpetrators of this incident as soon as possible so others learn a lesson,” he said.</p>

<p>First deputy chairman, Mohammad Alam Ezedyar, and some other senators including Lailuma Ahmadi, Anar Kali Hunaryar, Mohammad Azim Qoyash and Mohammad Asif Seddiqi were of the same view and demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators of the deadly incident.</p>
