KABUL (Pajhwok): The US military plans delivering the Afghan Air Force (AAF) UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters and A-29 light-attack aircraft over the next seven years.
The deliveries would triple the size of AAF, hopes Air Force Brig. Gen. Lance Bunch, “We are looking to triple in size… [The] Afghan Air Force by 2025," he told Pentagon reporters.
Via a video call from Kabul on Tuesday, he said the AAF had already received the first four of 159 UH 60 Black Hawks. Eight full crews are expected at the beginning of the fighting season next year.
Sputnik quoted Bunch as saying the AAF was conducting aerial resupply, using their C-130 and C208 transport aircraft.
