No Pak visas for Afghans without polio-free certificates

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> embassy in Kabul.<br />

“All the visa applicants are informed that it is henceforth mandatory for all Afghan nationals seeking Pakistani visa to produce a hospital certificate on account that he/she is polio-free.</p>

<p>“No visa applicant will be entertained without a vaccination certificate,” a statement from the embassy said. The decision went into effect on December 27.</p>

<p>Pakistan and <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> are the only two countries in the region, which are not polio-free. Nigeria is the third nation on the list of countries not free from polio.</p>

<p>The Afghans seeking to come to Pakistan for <a href="/en/education" class="glossify-link">education</a>, treatment, business and meeting relatives may be affected by the embassy’s decision.</p>
