ZARANG CITY (Pajhwok): At least three people were killed and another 58 wounded in a traffic accident in the Delaram district of southwestern Nimroz province on Tuesday, an official said.
The town administrative chief Najibullah Hayat told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident occurred when a 303 model passenger bus collided with a cargo truck at around 3pm.
At least three people were killed -- the bus driver, one woman, and one man -- and about 50 others wounded, including children and women.
He said the wounded passengers having critical health condition were rushed to public clinics in neighboring Helmand province’s Shorabak locality.
Ghulam Mohammad Omari, the provincial police spokesman, said: “The passenger bus en route to Nimroz province from Kabul first hit a motorcycle and then rammed into a parked truck.” However, he put the number of those injured at 58.
