KABUL shadow deputy governor for central Uruzgan province has been killed along with his 11 comrades during an airstrike, a statement from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Tuesday.
The air raid by security forces was conducted in the Trinkot City, the provincial capital, on Monday, leaving Maulvi Wali Jan also known as Hamza dead along with 11 other insurgents, it said.
The MoI statement added weapons, ammunition and vehicles were also destroyed during the pounding.
