KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Civil society activists in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday condemned the recruitment of Afghans in the Fatemyon Forces, an Iranian militia that contributed in Syrian conflict.

They demanded Iran to give blood money of those Afghans whom Tehran forced to fight for Iranian interest in Syria, adding that Tehran got full advantage of Afghan refugees trapped there.

Hekmatullah Afghan, head of the Walasi Tolani, said the heinous neighbours of Afghanistan not only kept the battle field warm in Afghanistan but forced Afghans to fight in other countries for the interest of Tehran.

He recalled the Iranians had formed a special militia called Fatemyon mostly from Afghans and dispatched them to Syria for war.

“On the behalf of Afghan people we strongly condemned the killing of 2,000 Afghans and injuring of 8,000 others in Syrian war at the behest of Iran,” he said.

Three days back Iranian media reported that at least 2,000 afghans had been killed and over 8,000 others injured in the Syrian conflict.

Abdul Wali Wadan, head of the Zwan Karwan Association, reacted similarly and denounced the recent statements of Pir Syed Ahmad Gilani.

He said the entire world knew where the safe havens of rebels situated and who sponsored them.
