100 militants eliminated in security operations: MoD

KABUL (Pajhwok): A hundred militants have been eliminated in security operations across the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) claimed on Sunday. 

The fighters were killed in Faryab, Kandahar, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Helmand, Maidan Wardak and Logar provinces, MoD spokesman Dawlat Waziri was quoted as saying.

During the offensives, the security forces also seized weapons from the insurgents, according to Waziri, who said nothing about casualties among the security forces.
