GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces captured a large catche of weapons and explosives and killed 14 rebels during an operation in Deh Yak district of southern Ghazni province.
The Afghan National Army’s 203 Thunder Military Corps in a statement said the weapons depots were seized in Jat-Kandar, Balai and Salimanzaio villages during the joint operation of the Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and police.
The military statement added that the depots contained explosives, 255 deferent types of mines and some machineguns.
Ten military uniforms were also seized during the operations that also resulted in the killing of 14 Taliban insurgents. Another four combatants were wounded.
Security forces suffered no causalities in the operations, the statement said.
The Taliban have not yet commented about the incidents.
