JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Police have seized 404 kilograms of hashish and detained four individuals in the Surkhrod district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News 360 kilograms of hashish were recovered at a checkpoint in Dusaraka locality.
The contraband, which was being smuggled from Kabul to Torkham, was skillfully placed in a vehicle, the police spokesman said, adding three individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure.
