2 killed as armed robbers clash in Kabul

<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> (Pajhwok): Police officials said two persons were killed when a number of armed robbers engaged in a clash in 5th police district of capital Kabul on Thursday morning.</p>

<p>The shooting took place in the Silo area of 5th police district at around 11am.</p>

<p>Police spokesman, Basir Ahmad Mujahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News that armed men traveling in a luxury car opened fire on another vehicle in Kabul that left two people killed and a third wounded.</p>

<p>“Initial investigations show that these people were most likely members of a robbery gang and they were killed due to a difference over an issue with their accomplices,” he said.</p>

<p>He said two people including the one injured were arrested in connection to the incident. These robbers were under police chase from long time ago.</p>

<p>Eyewitnesses said that armed men in a luxury vehicle opened fire on a private car.</p>

<p>As a result, two people were killed and two others injured. The attackers managed to escape, eyewitnesses said.</p>
