KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban Sahib district of northern Kunduz province, an official said on Tuesday.
District Chief Mahboob Saeedi told Pajhwok Afghan News over all security situate ion was improved but militants had been getting training from foreigners district, he said.
“There is no Daesh rebel in the district, we can prove the claim, but some unknown people had been seen on the outskirts of the district who have close relation with the Taliban,” he said.
The Taliban got training and leaned mines making skills from them, said Saeedi asking for a clearing operation in the district.
Rahimuddin, the resident of the area, said he saw some rebels in Jangal locality of the district. The insurgents had been training there since a long time but the government took no action against them.
Mohammad Raouf, another resident of the Imam Sahib, said the number of foreign rebels was on the raise with each passing day. He also demanded the launch of clearing operation in the district.
A security official, who wished to go unnamed, said security forces have planned the launch clearing operation in the district.
It is pertinent to mention, that Imam Sahib district is one of the most unstable districts of the province where Taliban militants have control on many areas.
