PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Four paramilitary troops were killed in a gun attack on vehicle in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Wednesday.

The Frontier Corps (FC) personnel came under attack during a patrol of the Langoabad locality of Quetta, the provincial capital, DawnNews reported.

Police and paramilitary soldiers rushed to the area and launched a search operation. The security personnel’s bodies were evacuated to hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Deputy Inspector General Razzaq Cheema said the FC personnel were on a routine patrol when attacked by miscreants in the Dukkani Baba area on Sariab Road.

At least seven people were killed on Zarghoon Road last month when a suicide bomber ploughed into a police truck. Later, two constables were gunned down in a separate incident on the same road.
