PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Local officials on Saturday said five militants were killed and four civilians wounded in a US airstrike in the Charkh district of central Logar province.
SalimSaleh, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that American forcesconducted the airstrike on a house in the Pangram area of the district on Friday night.
He said five militants were killed and two others wounded in the overnight raid, which also led to the destruction of some weapons and ammunition belonging to the insurgents.
