Former senator & JIA commander shot dead in Kabul

KABUL (JIA) party in the capital Kabul, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Basir Ahmad Mujahid told Pajhwok Afghan News the shooting took place in Bostan area in the limits of the 12^th police district at around 6:30pm on Saturday.

He said the gunmen traveling in a Corolla vehicle shot dead Rafiullah Gul Afghan along with his driver. The assailants fled the area, taking advantage of darkness.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which was denounced by JIA’s deputy head Atta Mohammad Noor. He extended his sympathies and condolences to the victim’s family.

Rafiulla Afghan, son of Abdul Aziz Akhunzada, was born in 1352 solar year at the Tabesh University.
