TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): At least nine passengers abducted by Taliban, have been released while 21 others are still in captivity in central Uruzgan province, locals said on Thursday.
Two days back, about 30 people wearing Afghan National Army (ANA) uniforms were snatched by militants on the Uruzgan-Kandahar highway.
Deputy police chief Abdul Qavee Omari told Pajhwok Afghan News the release was made possible with the help of local elders on Wednesday.
