KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved 12 contracts worth 7. 3 billion afghanis, a statement from the Presidential Palace said on Monday.
The statement said the NPC meeting, chaired by President Ashraf Ghani, approved the contracts including one for a power transmission line to central Bamyan province.
The 22 kilowatts electricity cable would be extended from Doshi district to Bamyan City besides installation of two 220 KW sub-stations round the Doshi district.
Other contracts were about the Jalalabad’s carpet industry township’s road project, construction of southern Kandahar University hostel’s building and observation of the Afghanistan embassy complex project in Islamabad.
The statement from the Presidential Palace quoted President Ashraf Ghani, while discussing the electricity contract approval for Bamyan province, as seeking a serious commitment from the contracted company to complete the project in the stipulated time.
