Family violence drives Ghor girl to kill herself

FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): A 17-years-old girl has committed suicide by drinking acid in western Ghor province last night, an official said on Tuesday.

The girl identified as Bibi Gul took her life in Firozkoh, the provincial capital, at round 8:00pm Monday night, Iqbal Nizami, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Gul took the extreme step due family violence. Police had taken Bibi Gul’s husband and her father-in-law into custody, Nizami concluded.
