5-member Taliban group held in Kabul

KABUL group aiming  to target security forces in capital Kabul, the spy service said Wednesday.

In a statement the National Directorate of Security or NDS said the five-member group was held during an operation in the limits 5^th police district.

It named the detainees as Niaz Mohammad, Mohammad Agha, Mohammad Naseem, Mohammad Zaman and Habibullah.

The NDS release read the detainees had confessed joining the Taliban eight months ago under commander Qari Khalid in Jalrez district of central Maidan Wardak province.

They had been tasked with targeting security forces, the statement claimed.
