Kabul: Ibn-i-Sina Hospital doctor kidnapped

KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped an Ibn-i-Sina Hospital doctor in the capital Kabul, an official said on Monday.

Dr. Asadullah Zarabi, a cardiologist, was kidnapped last night at around 8:40pm, the Kabul police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Brig. Gen. Dawood Amin said Dr. Asadullah, 54, was abducted on his way home from the hospital. Three gunmen seized the doctor.

Amin said two individuals, including a doctor, had been detained in connection with the abduction. Investigationswere still ongoing, the police chief said.
