Samangan man held after killing 2 years old son

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A man has shot dead his two years old son and injured his wife in Aibak, the capital of northwestern Samangan province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesmanMunir Rahimi told Pajhwok Afghan News Kamal-ul-Din, a resident of Mir Kalal locality killed his son and wounded his wife as result of a domestic tiff.

He added the incident took place when Kamal, 32, became emotional after a verbal dispute with his spouse. Following his arrest, the man confessed to his crime.

Dr. Mohammad Waseem Zareen, an official at the provincial hospital’s emergency unit, said the woman was under treatment. She is said to be in stable condition.
