ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Pakistani helicopter gunships crossed into Afghanistan and conducted airstrikes in Dangam district of eastern Kunar province on Wednesday, but no casualties could be reported.
Kunar governor’s spokesman, Abdul Ghani Musamim, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Pakistani helicopters entered Dangam district from across the Durand Line and then dropped bombs in the district. But he said no one was hurt in the incident.
Musamim also said Pakistani forces fired 362 missiles into Kunar province since yesterday, causing huge financial losses to people.
He said Pakistan had fired around 1,000 missiles from across the border into Kunar during the last one week.
At least seven people were wounded and crops on fields destroyed in these strikes, Musamim concluded.
The latest missile strike from Pakistan comes the day the country’s national security advisor Janjua in a conference in Islamabad said they respected Afghanistan’s territory.
