TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Peace activists in the capital of central Uruzgan province on Friday called for the warring sides to immediately put a halt to hostilities.
Peace camps have lately been erected in Kabul, Helmand, Farah and several other provinces to mount pressure on the government and its armed opponents to end the conflict.
Some weeks back, several civilians were killed and wounded in a suicide car bombing in Lashkargah. Days later, residents erected a camp, staging a sit-in for peace.
