KABUL (Pajhwok): National cricket hero Rashid Khan has advised the youth to work hard and believe on their skills so a bright future will be waiting for them.
Rashid Khan expressed the views during an interview in ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 11th season and Rashid’s second.
The Afghan star said he started cricket with his brothers in the village, streets and he still remembered those days, wrote the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s twitter page.
He said in the initial stage of his play he did not informed his family and they were also against his hobby of playing cricket but when he started playing for domestic he informed his family who also assured him full support.
“My family advised me to concentrate on studies instead of cricket. I studied till 10th class but cannot carry on due to my selection in the national squad,” he said.
Rashid Khan said initially there were some issues to his cricketing career but now his cricketing journey was going well. “I proud being a cricket player,” he said.
“Last year I had great support in Sunraisers and I want to stay in this franchise for a long time,” said the Afghan star who picked 17 wickets in last year season.
Khan said he was really under pressure when asked to bowl in the presence of thousands of fans against the best cricketing stars.
In his message to the youth, Khan advised them to work hard and trust on their abilities if they want to make their future bright.
Rashid Khan is the resident of Shinwari district in Nangarhar province. He was born in September 19, 1998.
