Afghanistan to benefit from CPEC, says PM abbasi

KABUL Economic Corridor (CPEC), says Islamabad.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, addressing the inaugural ceremony of the CPEC Summit and Expo 2018 in Karachi, assured neighbouring countries, including Afghanistan, of the project’s dividends.

“CPEC projects are being built on two basic principles: economic viability and environmental sustainability and we would never compromise on these principles,” he said.

 “Many energy projects have already been completed or are near completion,” Abbasi said, trying to assuage concerns among some countries, including Afghanistan about CPEC.
