Samangan man guns down sister-in-law, paramour

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A man in the Hazrat Sultan district of northern Samangan province has gunned down his brother’s wife and her paramour, an official said on Tuesday.

Sirajuddin Fitrat, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News initial investigations showed a 20-year-old man entered the house of a 22-year-old married woman at midnight.

When the woman’s brother-in-law came to know about the stranger’s presence man in the room of his brother’s wife, he shot him dead.

One of their relatives was injured in the incident, he said. The killer managed to flee the area while the injured was taken to hospital along with the two bodies.

Like many Afghans, the woman’s husband is currently in Iran to eke out a living.
