LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Unidentified people have beheaded two sisters after being kidnapped in southern Helmand province, officials said Wednesday.
Mohammad Salim Rodi, administrative chief of Greshk district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the two sisters were disappeared from the Greshk district center three days ago.
Aged between 18 and 22, the sisters who were shopping in the district bazaar along with their mothers, were missed when their mother entered a pharmacy, he said.
He added that both the sisters were beheaded and their bodies were found on the outskirts of the district on Tuesday evening.
It is unclear whether the girls were voluntary escaped with someone or they had kidnapped, Rodi concluded.
An official of Greshk Hospital, who wished to go unnamed, said that they received the bodies of two girls last night and they had started forensic investigation about the case.
