JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Head of the Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) Torkham branch office and cashier have been killed and another employee injured in armed attack in the Bati Kot district on Torkham-Jalalabad highway, an official said on Friday.
Governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened at around 7:00pm when the Taliban stormed security forces check point in the Shinwaro Kala area.
Security forces resisted the attack which resulted in the killing of six assailants and injured three others.
During the attack a car came under the Taliban attack in which the DAB Director Zaman, Cashier Niamatullah got killed and another employee injured, he said.
The injured had been shifted to the hospital, while additional security forces had been dispatched to the area.
