KABUL (HIA) has declared his support to the launch of electronic National Identity Cards (e-NICs) and asked the government leaders to resolve its internal differences.
“Getting e-NICs is national a crucial subject, I support this step of the government and will get the e-NIC,” Hekmatyar told his thousands of supporters during public gathering in the Bagram district of central Parwan province.
It is worth mentioning that Bagram is home to the biggest military presence of US forces in Afghanistan.
The distribution process of e-NICs officially launched on Thursday with President Ashraf Ghani and the first lady getting their NICs, while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah opposed the process.
The HIA leader said the ongoing situation were not acceptable to the people and asked the leaders of Unity Government to resolve their internal problems.
“Current situation should change for the better; the main reason behind our problems is the differences between the leaders of Unity Government starting from small to biggest national issues. One gets the e-NICs and another is opposing the process. Resolve your internal differences and don’t compel the masses to rise against you,” he warned.
The HIA leader said his party strived for peace and entered Kabul with the slogans of peace.
Hekmatyar added HIA left trenches and settled in cities where the power is at the hands of its rivals who never endorsed the HIA and always strived to damage it.
“The HIA endorses its rival parties and would defeat them in peaceful circumstances the way it defeated them in the battle ground,” he said.
He asked the masses to fully participate in Wolesi Jirga and District Council’s election and use election as an opportunity to resolve the crisis of the country.
He claimed if the masses voted for committed and honest people 90 percent problems of the people would be resolved.
He stressed over the free, fair and transparent conduct of election and demanded halt to the interference of foreigners in election process.
“Some foreign embassies and circles within the government to repeat the story of previous election again,” claimed the HIA leader without naming any institution or diplomatic mission.
The Wolesi Jirga and District Council’s elections had been scheduled for October 20 this year.
