FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): More than 1,000 war-displaced families are in dire need of assistance in western Ghor province.
The families have been displaced by clashes to Ferozkoh City from Dolina and Shahrak districts. They have sought refuge with residents and need immediate assistance.
Mohammad Ali and Saraj, two war-displaced persons, said they left behind everything at homes and were just able to rescue their lives.
They said they were currently living with relatives and urged the government to help them in this hour of trouble.
“War displaced us and we left behind everything we had, the government has not yet helped us, we demand immediate assistance,” Saraj added.
Abdul Rauf Ghafori, director of refugee and repatriation department, said the war-displaced families would be provided with food items.
The food items would include flour, rice, ghee besides cash aid. According to Ghafori, about 150 households had been surveyed so far.
He informed more than one thousand families had been displaced after the Taliban intensified attacks on districts.
