KANADAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Sixteen people were killed and 37 others injured in a car-bombing in the capital of southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, hospital sources said.
The bombing took place in Hazrat Ji Baba area that falls in the limits of 14thpolice district of Kandahar City at around 1pm.
Sources at the Mirwais Hospital said 16 dead bodies and 37 injured people had been received from the blast site. The injured included eight security personnel, four children and common people.
Among the casualties are four army personnel dead and six injured and the remaining are common people, according to the source.
There was no claim of responsibility for the blast so far.
