Tendulkar hails Rashid as the best T20 spinner

KABUL (Pajhwok): India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has praised Afghan bowler Rashid Khan as the best spinner in T20 cricket.

Khan won the encomium from Tendulkar after the Indian Premier League (IPL) qualifier between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.

For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid Khan hit a 10-ball 34 before bagging three crucial wickets. He also accounted for a run-out and held two catches in the final over.

After the Sunrisers clinched a 24-run triumph, Tendulkar tweeted: "Always felt @rashidkhan_19 was a good spinner but now I wouldn't hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he's got some batting skills as well. Great guy."

Extolled by a cricket great like Tendulkar, Rashid is expected to exhibit more confidence in the IPL final against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday

Tendulkar also commended Rashid Khan’s batting prowess. His breezy 34 off 10 balls at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata included two boundaries and four sixes.
