LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Eight people were wounded as a car bombing hit a joint base of police and National Directorate of Security in southern Helmand province on Thursday.
The bomb attack on the police complex in Greshk district took place at around 9:30am, said Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman. The bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into the police base, the official said, without going into details.
A source in the Emergency-run hospital, meanwhile, said eight injured individuals had been brought to the hospital from the blast site.
The injured were discharged after being administered first medical aid. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
