Afghans’ will for legitimate govt frightens enemy: Ghani

KABUL’s enemies.

On day second of his trip to Balkh province, the president participated in a meeting with top military personnel, officers and soldiers at the 209^thShaheen Military Corps and addressed the gathering.

The president appreciated security forces’ role and said: “You have ensured the security of Afghanistan with your commitments, being the commander-in-chief of armed forces and people of Afghanistan, I proud of every one of you.”

About regional security environment, the president said: “You have foiled the conspiracies of the enemy. I want to thank you for your quick response and help to the natural disasters affected people.”

Ghani said the four-year security plan of Afghanistan would reach its purpose by ensuring security and the air force would be further equipped and supported.

The president termed illegal armed groups as against the law and stressed change in this situation. He ordered the army chief to provide professional training to Public Order Police and Border Police.

Army chief Gen. Mohammad Sharif Yaftali, Corps Commander Maj. Gen. Amanullah Mubin were present in the meeting and they hailed the attention of the president towards security forces.

They assured that the security forces were prepared for strategic targets of Afghan government, ensuring peace and stability and supporting uplift projects and development. They reaffirmed to render every sacrifice for this purpose.
