KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): A police officer and a civilian have been killed as result of two separate incidents of violence in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Tuesday.
Three police personnel and as many civilians were wounded, DawodAhmadi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
In one incident, a roadside bomb hit a police vehicle in the 12th police district late on Monday night. District’ chief Ashraf Din was killed and three others wounded in the blast.
Separately, one person was killed and three others were injured after a verbal clash in the 6th police district in March Agha Darbar locality.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, the governor’s spokesman said.
