KABUL has produced in short cricketing history, says the game is his language.
In an interview aired by an Indian TV channel, the teenager also named the renowned spinners he had grown up watching.
“Cricket is my language. I bank on my cricketing knowledge. I understand what I’m told. Language doesn’t matter. I understand cricketing stuff,” the rising star said.
In response to the query how he communicated with new international cricketers, Mujeeb remarked cricket was his language of communication.
He told sports360.com he watched Ajantha Mendis, Sunil Narine and Ravichandran Ashwin bowling a variety of deliveries.
Thrilled by their experience, he kept viewing their videos, said the 17-year-old, who had an impressive maiden stint in the latest edition of Indian Premier League.
Representing Kings XI Punjab, he bagged 14 wickets in 11 matches. His bowling skills nonplussed the likes of Virat Kohli. He is expected to play for Hampshire in the T20 Blast.
